Now offering Virtual Services during COVID-19 only
During this time as we walk through the unknown, I want you to know that I am here for you! While I am still offering my services in person for those birthing at home or in a birthing center atmosphere, there are many that will still be choosing to birth in the hospital.
Unfortunately Orlando area hospitals are limiting the amount of support people to one for each laboring mother. This means the mother has to choose between the father or the doula (and in my mind, I don't even see how that is a choice honestly). Therefore, I am offering virtual support during the time of labor and birth for clients. This is uncharted territory for us all, but we do the best with what we have available to us.
So how does virtual support work? I would like to make it work a lot like I would a regular package, but online! We would meet on Zoom for prenatal meetings and still create a birth plan. I will still be available for you during labor and birth, just through video instead of in person. And then I would also attend a postpartum meeting with you virtually through Zoom within a week after your birth. For obvious reasons, essential oils brought to the birth, and my photography and video will not be offered for this package. But everything else that I offer is not in person support anyhow, and would remain the same! My fee during this time will be $600.
Now what happens if the hospitals change their policy and begin to allow more than one support person after you have already signed this agreement? Well I LOVE in person support, and I will just allow the excitement of this virus being over to be a gift of my in person support! There isn't a doubt in my mind that I would be there for you, in person, if at all possible during labor and birth. I would still host all of the meetings that we have planned online, but labor and birth support would definately have the option to change to in person!
Please reach out to me for further questions. I pray that you are able to find peace during this time of confusion and quarantine. May God bless you and your family, and keep you safe and HEALTHY!!
